Fonts for labelling in MT4/MT5
Hi,

I've create fonts name according to Tom NEWR ebook "Degree Table".

Just copy all those into your computer fonts folder. Eg : C:/ Windows> Fonts

And choose font type according to wave degree in your Mt4/Mt5.

---------

Add: Thank you very much Tom for this RTB rule! We see wave structure much clearer..Tom may suggest we have standardised colour for each wave degree.

Best Regard

Steve

Edit : Sorry, some of the previous posted fonts have some "defect" : a chop at the top of fonts : Grand Supercycle, Supercycle, Cycle, Primary, Intermediate, Minor, Minute. Please delete the previous one and copy/paste into the folder & restart the Mt4/Mt5

Edit : Dear All NEWR elliottician,

Here are the latest fonts named for easy access, named accordingly from highest degree to lowest degree of wave.. E.g @01Grand Supercycle... @15Sub-Nano idea from BogieShy

Best Regard

Steve

Steve,

These are fantastic. Thank you so much for creating them.

I tried them out using Metatrader 4 (MT4).

I see that all you do is type the number, not letters, for the motive
wave labels. Then type the correct case for the corrective labels.

Here is a pic of how these work.

Great help Steve and I am sure others will appreciate these.

They could also work in other programs - here is a pic of a document:

Nice.

For what its worth, I think Steve's idea of having standard colors assigned to the degrees makes a lot of sense. Can we come up with a standard key; and, if so, is it possible for Steve to program it so it is the default font color for each wave label?

I was wondering about that suggestion about the colors.

With the possibility that we need to add 2 more degrees that would
make 17 colors total. That is most likely going to create problems
with having enough distinction between them and possibly some
rendering issues as well on various graphics adapters & monitors.

Before that even becomes the topic what would be the advantage
over labels? Having never gotten into using colors for degree sets
on my own charts this may be lost on me so I need some help
with the stragegic worth of the colors.

I do often notice that colors are used as a shortcut to proper degree
handling and tend to see that as a weakness in the technical
approach which is demanded in EW.

If one were to say that the colors would help in keeping track of the
degrees I would think having a degree chart would be enough of a
reference (and I use mine regularly). Any argument FOR would have
to overcome the counteragument that adding one element of
structure to replace another element of structure adds complexity
and serves no advantage if the memorization of yet another list or a
different list is the only outcome which then introduces one more
possibility of error.

As you can see I am prone to argue that the benefit does not
outweigh the keeping of the status quo. Let's get solid procedural
tips and techniques spread out on the table.

BTW, Steve the improved version is great! Tested the new version
thoroughly and they are all good. I did notice some MT4 glitch on
using the Micro font. Micro is definitely installed and works as a font
should in a document but in MT4 it is the only one that didn't show
up on the list in the dropdown box of fonts to choose.

I like these quite a bit. Thanks again.

RE: Fonts for labelling in MT4/MT5
Tom- Now that you have been posting charts more, I am seeing the importance of degrees in analysis more so than I had previously. I think your point is well taken that colors are often used as quick and dirty means of distinguishing between degrees. The more I think about it, the more I agree with you that just dropping different colors on the chart instead of actually thinking, and considering, the proper degree notation most definitely hinders my counting. So, for what its worth, I think that I am now going to flip flop and concur with you that we should focus on the degree labels rather than colors.

RE: Fonts for labelling in MT4/MT5
I don’t think you need 17 different colors…degrees that are several steps apart can have the same color.

I use 5 colors. I think that for many people color is easier to spot/identify than similar letter combinations. i .i “i *i 1 .1 *1 “1 Looking at this list you can see they are all different. However, when the symbols are spread across a chart, color can aid in identifying more quickly which labeled points are part of the same degree count.

I don’t think I use color directly in counting. I think it’s benefit is in stepping back and seeing the wave patterns. This may also be an experience thing…more of a benefit to someone new.

RE: Fonts for labelling in MT4/MT5
Really appreciate having these labels available in MT5. Wondered how you can quickly access these labels instead of choosing text and typing in the value each time. Is there any such palette where these labels would be available in a toolbar? in MT5? So as to quickly choose the various labels and degrees?

Thanks again,
