Hello all
My name is Val Bisagni. I'm primarily a forex trader and have been using EW for almost 2 years now.
I'm also the group leader of the Investools NYC user group.
My fascination with EW has led me to form an EW specific group, though member participation is limited as skepticism runs high.
I would consider myself traditionalist and am not over-anxious to jump on any passing bandwagon, but I am always open and willing to assess new things.

Hi Val,

Welcome aboard!

Appreciate your comments. Skepticism does seem to run high among some traders trying to get a grip on EW. To many, the market waves are just random cacaphony, and trying to make a sensible count out of them will give most counters a headache...not to mention trying to keep track of all of the various triangles and extensions.

I think you will find that, after reading a few of the posts here, there seems to be a growing enthusiasm, and perhaps even buy-in, to Tom's approach at the NEWR.

There seems to be a new-found freedom in the simplification (or throwing out) of some of the traditional rules/guidlines, that allows one to concentrate on the count, without having to keep track of the effects of diagonals, flats, extensions, etc.

Anyway, welcome aboard, and we hope you enjoy your experience here.Smile

Thanks Bogie, I'm looking forward to comparing notes with some people who are really into elliott and not just preaching to people who at times seem to be unable to even recognize the benefit of elliott.

RE: Hello all
Hi Val, what's the NYC Investools Group? I stumbled upon Tom's website while doing a google search on something - don't remember what. I first thought it was Bruce Willis as Santa Claus on the picture.
I like the new rule - it warns you to expect more upside when you think a 5th wave is finished.
I like the fact that you trade forex! And on top of that the EUR/USD, which is fooling everyone right now. But you opened a thread on that, so we can exchange opinions there. See you there ... tomorrow - it's almost 1am over here. Ruby

Oh, BTW: if you click on "new reply" instead of "reply", you don't quote the previous post. If you use "reply", you can delete the quote or parts of it.

RE: Hello all
Thanks Ruby,, thought I saw the post a couple of extra times. Like this quick reply box too. Investools is an online investor education and analysis platform. The parent company is Think or Swim and now TD Ameritrade. I had no trade experience, learned all the traditional analysis there and then found EW. All the rest has become a knowledge base I guess, but I trade very little if any of it.
And yes, the e$ is my bread and butter. I was just trying out the new rule labeling on it.
