RE: Who is "social mood"?
Here’s an even nicer one: When they recollected that sword, Liv Tyler and the hair, didn’t they at least let you keep that little butter knife?

Well, I'm not gonna swing at anymore serves. I'll concede match and set ok?

O.k., I’ll answer when I’m through with the encyclopaedia of tennis. Because I have no idea what you’re saying. Troubles with the English language again, you know?

Are you alive? – I’m awaiting directions. What do you see when you look out the window?

Sleepy, dizzy, chapter 2
Friend Larry who’s a tennis player says: “That will be one short match. Play with me instead, if you want a real opponent.”
Ruby: “I don’t want an opponent.”
Lumberjack next door says: “What is wrong with that man – haven’t you sent him a picture?”
Ruby: “No. Didn’t think it was necessary.”
Father says: “We’re tearing down the house in September, and it would be nice, if you came over until the new one is done. If we ever build a new one.”
Ruby: “Sell it then.”
Grandmother says: “You want salad?”
Cat says: “I just peed in your shoes, you don’t go anywhere.”
Mother says: “You can go wherever you want, but beware of those zealots – just saw a documentary the other day. They won’t give up until they get you. And they have no electricity. And five wives.”
Son says: “I gladly take the cat back – my girlfriend has been hissing at me lately.”
Ruby says: “Sorry for wasting everyone’s time – he’s closed the book on me. I was swinging again. And then the line was dead. And then the thread was closed.”
Mother: “Told you, those zealots wouldn’t be content with anything less than a marriage proposal. And they have no electricity. And five wives.”
Ruby: “Mom, have you brushed your tooth today? This poisonous fume is making me dizzy. But thanks for the advice, I’ll try that. In a new thread, on the nude beach – it’s all or nothing.”
Grandmother: “Don’t you want to eat something? You’re too thin.”
Ruby: “Yes, and some sleep would also be nice.”

Hey, didn’t I already say that I take ALL ?

RE: Who is "social mood"?
My apologies to the members. Ruby has been banned. I had to remove
a couple things from two of the latest posts (nothing major, just
inappropriate and personal).

It was not my intention to draw this out. I don't mind discussion of
various topics like religion and politics. To discuss is one thing and to
hide behind a feigned sensitivity to being offended so that this
becomes a forum for some intended agenda is different.

It seemed only puzzling at first that the meaning of everything I would
say was being distorted. It became increasingly clear that this was
done deliberately and yet before that was clear I got involved in a
defensive clarification of some of my positions.

pros·e·ly·tize (prŏsˈə-lĭ-tīz) verb
To induce someone to convert to one's own religious faith.

That can be done equally by humanists and persons of established faith
systems alike. While a person's beliefs come with the package and
people do share, it has no business being a point of ridicule.

For violation of the rules of the forum, I needed to take this action.

Heh, Tom, don't worry about it. There was always something odd in his/her threads and posts and that is putting it as polite as I know how.

I was wondering where it was going to lead. It was entertaining though. So maybe we will get a new act in here? Just Kidding. Tongue I learned a thing or two from your answers and appreciate the forum and everything you have done here. Let me take this chance to say Thanks.

No offense here Tom, but NewR is at present what I would describe as a fringe group - in that light Ruby getting himself ejected from a fringe group shows just how contrary and argumentative humans can be. Personally I think NewR is interesting enough to pursue without trying to hijack the agenda - I'm about to go on holiday and on the plane I will begin reading 'The God delusion' by Richard Dawkins. I would be happy to discuss religion or evolution for that matter into the early hours in the right place and time, but this is not the right time and certainly not the right place.

I partly agree with you, Dan! That is why the appropriate place
for such things was actually chosen by the original poster ( OP ) and
perfectly OK with me.

The slights towards my beliefs are meaningless but I recognized a person
who was commandeering this forum as a platform to do the very thing
which you object to, do an inappropriate thing for ANY place.

That thing was to be inconsiderate of others, not the discussion of
religion. The existence of off-topic areas is a commonplace feature
whether on popular or fringe forums.

Just as in any content complaint such as what is on television there
is a fair counter-argument that one is in control of the remote and
should exercise their own moderation should they object to content.
There are valid exceptions. I am not here to settle such issues.

So I will not be attempting any censorship of the topics within this
off-topic subforum except to keep them normally decent for the public.
This moderation task falls on myself and will be at my sole discretion.
I extend a promise that it will be a best effort.

I engaged the OP's earliest comments at a shallow level in my estimation
and made allowance that this was an off-topic section even though a
clear attempt was underway to marginalize my thoughts with ridicule.

When doing this I also made my best attempt at showing clear exit
ramps. Instead of taking the exit ramp and escape into city traffic
undetected the OP sped furiously into the inevitable police barricade.
What can we do? People will do things like this.

Enjoy the off-topic area and if it does not suit personal taste just
consider it the lunatic fringe and steer clear. I was just trying to be
considerate of the OP in providing a discussion and do have other
business to which I must attend.

I am not delusional and I believe in creation as well as evolution. I
thought my question about the origins of such EW precision was worthy
of consideration. We inevitably want to know the origins of species and
EW should not be excluded.

As we now see, EW is not just for us here in the present. It had a value
in history and the history still holds a critical place in our counts today.
This indicates that it also belongs to the future and any additional
illumination of the mechanisms should be explored as in any science.

As we pursue this path we are identifying heretofore unknown elements
of numerical relationships and precision. These seem to this person as
astonishingly unencumbered and requiring no input from the very
participants it is supposed to 'reflect' in order to maintain rules.

If it is a human thing could we at least use some of it in our government,
because it is extremely efficient?

It certainly does seem to fly in the face of any chaos theory or the 2nd
law of thermodynamics and any tending toward disorder. It is fascinating
to me at least. I hold such things in a much higher regard than man-level
comments by thinkers like Dawkins but I value Dawkins' search for truth
or at least some answers.

This is because I see EW and the numerical relationships as existing
without our help and beyond our understanding for the moment. It is my
contention that these things do not 'just happen'. I've seen too much.

RE: What is "social mood"?
Hmmm, Still on holiday so will stick to this non-trading thread. It does occur to me that there is a parallel between evolutionary theory and Elliott wave (theory? Smile ) in that both provided a good but incomplete framework for the process they described. I think an open mind is always a good thing and in that respect perhaps agnosticism is a good stance to have. Just yesterday the BBC website carried a feature speculating that the main driver for evolution may be the existence of space to evolve into rather than competition. In other words when birds gained the ability to fly a whole uncontested niche appeared for then and an evolutionary spurt ensued - they underwent a wave 3 if you like, as homonids possibly did on discovering fire. Laters Dan.
